As demand for differentiated travel loyalty services swelled in the pre-pandemic world, so too did the demands on Switchfly’s core technology platforms. Very quickly, Switchfly needed to streamline APIs to GDS connectors, refactor legacy code to revamp existing products, improve platform reliability, expand its product development capacity and accelerate the pace of new releases.
Switchfly partnered with Encora to deploy Agile methods, streamline the development cycle, improve platform performance and boost reliability.
Agile methods were used to migrate legacy tools to modern platforms. The transformation of both platform and team process resulted in improvements to platform performance, increased reliability and a dramatically superior end-user experience. Encora is now integral to Switchfly’s core software engineering team.
